Updates for April 30, 2011

Buenas tardes!

Today we had our April enrollment meeting. At the meeting we talked about enrollment deadlines and fundraising ideas. In the case of the enrollment deadline, I have a very special announcement:

After speaking with our representatives from EF TOURS, we have been given an EXTENSION to our April 30th deadline! The new deadline is now ... MAY 7TH!!!

This is great news especially for families who were worried about meeting the payments on time. Now, we have an extra week! Que bien!!

As for fund-raising ideas, we came up with the following:

-Raffling off products from major stores such as BEST BUY and TARGET
-Selling AVON products to students, teachers and community members
-Students writing individual sponsor letters **THIS ONE IS VERY IMPORTANT**
-Bake Sale both inside and outside the school!
-Using our Blog Site as a means of receiving donations
-Selling candy

There are so many things that we can do! Any more suggestions, please let me know! I am so open to hearing everyone's ideas.

Beginning our Journey!

Welcome everyone to our official Costa Rica blog site!

I am pleased to announce that we have begun our journey to Costa Rica.  As of now, we have 5 students who are in the process of enrolling with EF Tours to embark on an incredible journey!  Our students, families, and community are super excited to know that this dream is becoming a reality. 

While the journey has just begun, I would like to invite others to take part in this experience by following our blog.  This site will contain updates regarding our trip, fundraisers, and more information on how to donate. Please feel free to browse our blog, learn more about Costa Rica, and meet our wonderful students!
